I really want a yorkie i need to find one cheap though i would prefer one that is only a couple months old thanxCan anyone find me a yorkie for sale around erie pa for less then 200.00?
You won't find a Yorkie that cheap unless you get one from a backyard breeder or a shelter.
Try your local shelters or Yorkie rescues and see what they have. You may find another adorable little soul to save from being euthanised.
A well bred dog (of any breed) will cost around $1000 or more.
Only buy a dog that comes with registration papers, this will help weed out any backyard breeders. Also make sure you visit the breeder and the puppies to ensure that the puppy is right for you and that the breeder sounds legitimate.
You do not want to buy from a backyard breeder as they do not health test their dogs before they breed them and the puppies could be harbouring a host of different problems. Can anyone find me a yorkie for sale around erie pa for less then 200.00?
What about the dog's initial supplies (crate, collar, leash, tags, bowls...?) First vet check? Continual monthly fees? What about emergencies, regular vet care? Boarding on vacations, grooming, training?
Sorry hun, but $200 or less just isn't possible in the dog world. Dogs are neither cheap nor free and they never will be. If you aren't committed or able to spend a good $1,000 on start-up fees (the dog, initial supplies, first vet check) and at least $150 a month after, then you aren't ready for a dog. If you don't have money saved up for emergencies, you aren't ready for a dog. If you can spend an extra $100 - $200 every few months for grooming and/or training, you aren't ready for a dog.
We also aren't going to do the work for you. GO visit local shelters - that is going to be the only reliable place for you to find a dog for a low price. No newspapers or internet listings - those dogs will have come from back yard breeders, and poorly bred dogs cost more in vet fees than you could ever imagine.
So go look around. But first i would find yourself a job and save up money before getting a dog. It would suck to get your ';cheap'; dog only to have to give it up because you couldn't afford to treat an illness or injury, now wouldn't it?
These types of questions really tend to tick me off....
Sorry to burst your bubble, but you will not likely find a Yorkie for so little. They are not cheap because breeding ethically is not cheap. Breeders have costs invested in every littler and $200 would not even begin to cover the costs they pay out of pocket. Medical testing, vaccinations, breeding stock, whelping and grooming supplies, time, show costs (if they show), regsitration fees...it all adds up. Which of those do you think the breeder should cut corners on all for the sake of giving you a puppy for cheap?
If you really want one, then you need to adjust your buget to meet what breeders are asking, not expect them to lower their standards to meet your demands. In all honesty, most breeders view that type of stance and rude and arrogant and wouldn't give you the time of day. It's as if you are saying that their dogs are not worth the time and money they have invest in them.
Take your time, research and find a responsible breeder and save your funds in the meantime. If your funds are still limited, then check with rescues and shelters. Otherwise you are likely going to have to bite the bullet and save your money just like everyone else.
No such thing as ';cheap'; purebred dog, especially a breed as popular as a Yorkie. anyone who would sell one that cheap is poor quality backyard breeder.
And people who sell on the Internet are puppy mills and scammers who will steal your money.
You might be able to find one at a rescue or shelter, but they are in high demand and usually adults.
Anything worth having comes at a price.
the only place you will find a yorkie that cheap is shelter or rescue www.petfinder.com
good luck finding one that is a ';couple months old';.. you dont really have much room to be picky when you shop cheap. You are more likely to find an older puppy or young adult.
Go to www. k i j i j i .com and select your area, then pets, then dogs. You can chose adoption or puppies too. The ads are free and you can ask questions with emails sent by kijiji.
Another site is www.hoobly.com where you can choose area and type of dog.
No such thing as a ';cheap'; Yorkie even in rescue. You might get lucky and find one at a shelter but it is not going to be a puppy.
Sorry. Reality, my dear.
